Philosophy: The philosophy of the Visual Arts Department is based on a rigorous exploration of fine art and passionate practice, accomplished art techniques, a solid understanding of the history of art and the use of language to describe and interpret works of art knowledgeably. The curriculum integrates a stimulating, age-appropriate study of art history from the Prehistoric era to modern times, along with development and practice of art-making processes and skills.
