Faculty continued their passion for learning during the summer vacation as they worked, traveled, studied, and competed in world championships.
Katie Fowley, Upper School English teacher, was awarded a full scholarship by the Princeton Branch of English Speaking Union to attend a program for teachers at Shakespeare's Globe Theater this summer. This intensive three-week program focused on ways to teach Shakespeare through performance. Teachers from across the United States learned strategies for the classroom, attended performances, and met and worked with members of the Globe theater company, including voice and movement specialists. The program ended with participants performing scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.
Ari Raisa, Science Department Chair (#15), participated in the 15th World Maxibasketball Championships in Espoo, Finland on Finland’s 60+ team. His team beat Italy in the quarterfinals and went on to play USA in the finals. His team placed third in the championships.
