Steps to Admission

There is an application fee of $80 that should be submitted with the application. The fee can be paid by check, money order, cash, or by credit card in the application.

If paying by check, please contact Michael Szarek ([email protected]). Checks should be made out to The Hudson School with the applicant's name in the memo line. These may be mailed to the school or dropped off.

Please note that there is an additional $5 processing fee for credit card payments.

The following documentation must be submitted in order for an application to be considered complete:

  • Official transcript of final report from previous two years
  • Official report card from the current school year.
  • Recommendations from a recent Math and Language Arts/ELA teacher

Transcripts and reports must be sent to [email protected] by a school administrator.

THS Transcript Request Form | PDF

Teacher recommendations are submitted to the teacher through the application portal by the student. Completed forms are automatically returned to the Admissions Team.

We do not require the ISEE or SSAT, nor will we serve as a testing site.

You may submit the following documentation to be considered with your application:

  • Creative portfolio
  • Standardized test scores
  • Additional recommendation letters

Please note that none of these are required, and students will not be penalized in any way if they are omitted.

All documents should be sent to [email protected]

Upon completion of your admissions file, we will schedule an in-person interview with you and members of our administration. Applicants for middle and upper school will also complete a writing evaluation at this time.

Decision letters for applicants who apply before the Early Notification deadline date will be sent out electronically in mid-February.

Decision letters for applicants who apply after that deadline will be sent out two weeks after the student interview. These applicants are considered on a rolling basis, dependent on the space available in each grade. No rolling admissions decisions will be made until after February 15.

Any applicants who apply for financial aid will receive their notification of award letters in early March. Please note that this timeline depends on the family completing any requests by FACTS in a timely manner, including the submission of their 2023 tax returns.

Any applicants who submit their financial aid materials after the deadlines have passed will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

International Students

The Hudson School has welcomed international and exchange students since our inception in 1978. We have always believed that a culturally diverse community is a rich one.
