Join us for THS Connects: Warrior Women

Thank you to everyone who came out to first THS Connects event of the year! In honor of Women’s History Month, we invite you to our next event on March 26th, a screening of Warrior Women, a Peabody Nominated film.

Warrior Women is the story of Madonna Thunder Hawk and her daughter, both have been leaders in the American Indian Movement (AIM). Thunder Hawk was instrumental in forming the "We Will Remember" Survival School as a Native alternative to government-run education. Thunder Hawk, an Oohenumpa Lakota, is a veteran of every modern Native occupation from Alcatraz, to Wounded Knee in 1973 and more recently the NODAPL protest at Standing Rock. Both mother and daughter have been at the forefront of Native activism on environmental issues and for indigenous cultural values.

There will be a group discussion and reflection to follow.

Date & Time:

Tuesday, March 26, 2024
6:00 - 8:00PM
